The Food Innovation Cluster Project Launch and Green Transition Support Information Day, supported under the Turkish SME and Technology Ministry’s Cluster Support Program and executed by Marmara Teknokent, took place on October 8, 2026, at the Balıkesir Teknokent Conference Hall.

The event was attended by Balıkesir Provincial Director of Industry and Technology Mehmet Şafak, experts from the South Marmara Development Agency, faculty members from the Department of Food Engineering at the Balıkesir University Faculty of Engineering, representatives from the food industry, and entrepreneurs.

During the program, Senior Expert Rasim Keskin and Expert Assistant Pelin Mercan from Marmara Teknokent Technology Transfer Office provided information on the Food Innovation Cluster Project, cluster membership processes, support offered to companies, collaboration opportunities, and green transition support provided under TÜBİTAK 1831.

The event served as an important gathering to foster innovation and green transition capacity within the food sector, promote collaborative R&D projects, and strengthen public-private-university partnerships.

Balıkesir Teknokent will continue to support collaborative efforts to integrate the region’s food sector potential with technology and innovation.

Balıkesir Teknokent extends its gratitude to the Marmara Teknokent team for their contribution and to all participating institution representatives, faculty members, companies, and entrepreneurs.
