We successfully held our online training session entitled ‘Patent and Copyright Protection of Software’, organised by Balıkesir Teknokent, with a high level of participation.

The training, delivered by Turkish and European Patent Attorney Erdem KAYA, comprehensively covered the following topics:

intellectual and industrial property rights in software, 

copyright protection of software,

patentability of software, 

technical criteria, patent application 

and registration processes,

common mistakes and practical recommendations. As part of the programme, participants were also informed about the Patent Competition to be organised for our member companies in August.

The training, which attracted significant interest from our software-developing entrepreneurs, company representatives, academics and students, proved to be a highly productive session, providing participants with useful insights into how to protect their software from a legal perspective and what to bear in mind during patent and copyright processes.
