We visited Afacan Makine, one of Balıkesir’s long-established industrial firms, and met with the company’s owner, Ömer Afacan.

Accompanied by our General Manager, Lecturer Burcu Aydemir; our Technology Transfer Office Coordinator, Lecturer Oğuz Han; and our Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs, Görkem İnce, we toured the production halls and gained comprehensive insights into the company’s production processes, engineering infrastructure and export activities.

As part of the visit, we also discussed the R&D, innovation, university-industry collaboration and project development support offered by Balıkesir Technopark. We jointly explored project ideas and collaboration opportunities that could contribute to Afacan Makine’s technology-driven growth.
