Balıkesir Teknokent Hosts Patent Competition “BAUNTECHIP”

Balıkesir Teknokent, in partnership with companies operating within its framework, is providing support to protect innovative projects with patents!

We invite companies operating within Balıkesir Teknokent to participate in our upcoming Patent Competition. Preliminary applications are now being accepted.

Deadline for Submission: September 21, 2026 (Monday), end of business hours

How the Application and Evaluation Process Will Proceed:

1. Preliminary Application

Interested companies must complete the Google Form, providing basic information such as company name and project name, within the specified dates. Detailed technical information regarding the invention will not be requested at this stage.

Following the submission of the preliminary application, companies will receive a confidentiality agreement via email. After the agreement is finalized, a streamlined Invention Disclosure Form will be shared for them to detail their invention.

Projects that pass the initial screening via the Invention Disclosure Form will be included in a free patent preliminary research conducted by Erdem Kaya Patent.

Projects deemed suitable following the preliminary research will be evaluated at the patent competition event.

Companies can submit multiple projects through a single form.

The evaluation team will consist of patent attorneys from Erdem Kaya Patent and experts from Balıkesir Teknokent TTO.

Presentations will be conducted in private, one-on-one sessions with the evaluation team, within the allocated time, to ensure the confidentiality of inventions.

Prize: Patent Application Support!

The patent application fees for the successful projects of the finalist companies will be covered as part of the prize.

Participation in the competition is limited to companies operating within Balıkesir Teknokent.

Companies wishing to participate must complete the preliminary application form and submit it to us by September 21, 2026 (Monday), end of business hours. Further details about the program will be shared subsequently.
