In line with Türkiye’s National Technology Initiative vision, we have built a highly robust R&D and innovation ecosystem in recent years. Today, I am proud to express that Türkiye is no longer just an industrial nation, but also a powerful technology nation.
We owe this success to our strong ecosystem, which bridges the knowledge generated in our technoparks, R&D and design centers, and universities with entrepreneurship. Converting knowledge into products, products into technology, and technology into economic value, this structure has become one of the most vital driving forces of our nation's development journey.
Today, more than 12,800 technology startups across our 114 technoparks nationwide are successfully carrying out their research, development, and innovation activities. This picture is one of the clearest indicators of Türkiye's growing capacity to produce high technology and compete on a global scale.
We do not view our research infrastructures, laboratories, and technology development centers merely as physical investments. In fact, we are building factories of new ideas that will develop the technologies of the future.
Today, our private sector has also become one of the strongest actors in this transformation. Türkiye's private sector now leads high-value-added production, technology development, and the enhancement of our global competitiveness as the locomotive of our R&D and innovation ecosystem.
